Come Join our Flock of Wonderful Paronts

WE would like to welcome you to COFOAF this is a casual group to share stories, ideas, problems and everyday birdy stuff. Your moderators have MANY years with birds and are very informative. Together with the members we should always be able to guide and help new and seasoned bird owners or people who are thinking of adopting their first bird.We will be holding casual meet and greets at a central location from time to time please check the calendar for events and times. We all know it gets tough at times to be a bird owner and sometimes run out of options and that is why we are here.

We are often called upon to find forever homes for well loved fids, due to various circumstances. We understand giving up your bird is a difficult decision and we always offer advice for ways the bird can remain with its current human. When that is not possible, we encourage anyone thinking of surrendering the bird, to come visit with us. We want parronts to realize we will always be about what's best for the bird. We will be happy to explain our adoption process and allow anyone to come visit with the birds currently in our care, giving you piece of mind during a very difficult decision. We want you to feel comfortable in your decision and know your bird is in good hands.

If you would like to help our organization out, you can do so in many ways:

Become a Foster Parront!
Donate items like safe, unused bird toys, cages, stands, feeding dishes, perches, Nutritional Seed and Pellets, Fresh Fruits and Veggies.
Donate your time! Anyone is welcome and appreciated, to come visit with the flock, clean cages, help provide human interaction for the birds in need. It's a great way to experience various types of birds and help the Organizers by giving them time to complete other tasks needed to maintain this group.
We can always use newspaper to line the cages with.
Monetary donations are always welcome, as the cost of vet care, diet, supplies and continuing care of these birds are out of our own pockets, however, we can not give a charitable doantion receipt until we have a 501c certification.
