Friends of a Feather
We are a group of people that were searching for other bird lovers. It happened with a couple of us and few ideas of what we wanted to do and here we are.
We are a casual group that really enjoy the company of our birds, family friends and other pets. We highly support rescue and adoption for placement of birds that are already in homes that need a new home due to unforseen circumstances, we all understand life happens. As a group we are here to aid with any questions that anyone may have and if the question is not answered by one of us we will send you to the right place to get it.
We are come as you are bunch. Enjoy opening new doors with your companion bird and meet some really amazing people and the many stories we have.
We would like to be able to meet from time to time to put a human face behind the bird. Have fun, ask questions, help others, make new friends and just enjoy!

PARROT HOPE SANCTUARY
We are going to team up and help a rescue collect the things they may need in order to keep them running. They are getting ready to break ground on a new facility to help many more birds

This Trio ownes Marti and this is what she had to say about her
Big Babies...
The Greenwing, Hollywood, joined our flock in 2005. He came from really bad living conditions and thanks to Dr. Mohan, feathered into a really gorgeous macaw. He is 12 yrs old and is the most charismatic and dramatic one of all the macaws. He's very much the alpha bird and prefers men over women so I have always been his slave in his eyes. He is also an honorary member of the Clean Plate Club. He will eat anything and tell you how good it is!!
The Catalina, Cleo, joined us in 2003 when she was 4 years old. I have no prior history on her because her records were not released. She is a well adjusted, inquisitive funny clown. I think she is the more intelligent of all the big macs and the most talkative. She is a real cuddler and loves her momma. She is the finicky eater of the flock but weighs as much as Hollywood. I think she must be a midnight snacker!!!lol!!
The Blue & Gold, Molly, joined us in 2003 when she was 3 year old. Her previous owner was an older lady who was given Molly by her daughter. The lady fell, broke her hip and went to a nursing home and the daughter didn't want to keep Molly. Molly was extremely spoiled and pampered, and was still given several hand feedings a day at the age of 3. She was treated as though she was a child so she didn't know she was a macaw. She was the hardest to rehabilitate but it helped being among other macaws when she came to live with us. She is the acrobat of the group and loves to swing from her boing or swing by one foot, wings extended and squeal with joy. She is also an honorary member of the Clean Plate Club.
I am so pleased you have chosen my 3 amigo's to be the featured birds of the month. I just hope the rest of the flock don't find out. lol!!
